STILES
PARK
The public realm consists of two outdoor components available to the entire community: Stiles Park and a pedestrian walkway. Stiles Park opened as Oklahoma City’s first park in 1901. Convergence’s development plan includes a redefined layout of Stiles Park that will activate the usability for the public community by providing green, lawn-like space and an amphitheater for outdoor gatherings. The 100-foot-high Beacon of Hope will remain in its current location and be a monumental pillar at Convergence’s entrance.
With one end anchored by the Beacon of Hope, the pedestrian walkway is strategically placed between the office tower and proposed Innovation Hall, creating connectivity between OU’s University Research Park and OSU Discovery. The connectivity between both universities is key to building synergy for Convergence and the entire Innovation District.
